My Thrift Haul & Poshmark

Listening now…

(Anyone else watching The End of the F***ing World on Netflix?! This song is courtesy of that show. So good- especially if you loved Atypical, like I did.)

I wanted to write this post for those who may not have thrifted yet and may not realize the amazing finds you can get, while paying way less than you would at a retail store!

I started thrifting around age 18 and haven’t stopped since…

I actually prefer thrifting to shopping in the mall because I find it more fun and satisfying when you find something really unique and when you find something of a brand you know is expensive that you bought for like $5.

J Crew French Hen sweater:

This item was listed on my Poshmark account- (that’s here by the way) and sold within about 2 weeks. It’s so cute and soft, I was considering keeping it for myself.

White Mountain booties:

Channeling my inner Angela Chase obsession again, these reminded me of her….so obviously in the cart and home they went. (Thanks to my love for gifting me with these Adidas leggings for Christmas)

Banana Republic “Keep It Simple” Sweater:

We could all use this little reminder for life, right?

Asos Brocade & Leather Jacket:

Mango Suit Collection Utility Jacket:

I had never heard of this brand, but when I looked it up, found that they sell pretty well on Poshmark.

I have been wanting a Utility Jacket for awhile and this one is perfect. It has tons of pockets and is really warm. The inside of it can also be unbuttoned and worn as a vest! Great for traveling.

I also really love the small leather strips on the shoulders.

Never mind my crazy hair…

Do you go thrifting? Do you thrift and Posh or Ebay? P.S. I have an Ebay account, too- that’s here.

I am really excited to get better at selling on both- I have been listing all of my items on both accounts so that if it does not sell on one, it may sell on the other. I had a pair of Lularoe leggings listed on both that someone eventually bid on on Ebay, so I took it off Poshmark since a bid means the item is sold- listing on both is more work, but it increases your chances of making money and reaching an audience!

Thanks for reading & happy thrifting!

A spooky fashion shoot

Listening now…

I decided to have a little fun with my tripod (well I used my mom’s this time because it was already all set up and mine is a bit more difficult to set up) and take some fun fashion shots. The only other time I played around with a tripod was with my Mickey Mouse rules all post, but I think I need to make this a regular thing!

Lularoe Halloween leggings, Target thrifted sweater, H&M boots

These leggings have trick or treaters on them. How cute!

Do you like my teal pumpkin with polka dots that I painted? Also- there’s my skull pillow with the eye bitten off from Molly… #extraspooky #Keepinitreal #Realbloggersarecool

# 2:

Thrifted Forever 21 dress, Lularoe leggings, thrifted pleather red jacket, thrifted cow bag, thrifted Teva brand boots, floppy hat from my sister. 🙂

How awesome is this cow bag?! My mom said she had a similar one and I remember it from when I was a kid…

The bag also has a millon pockets and organization sections in it plus a Velcro closure…

# 3:

Thrifted dress, Lularoe leggings

Bottom photos- added an H&M sweater and my Carhartt beanie

I like the blue and yellow together. It feels retro to me…this dress is also a very flattering fit!

I also love the dress because it easily layers for fall and winter.

When you try to tripod and you cut off your head, but the pictures come out kind of artsy/blurry and you like it.

Aztec sweater from sissy, thrifted Zara brand jeans, 80’s belt “thrifted” from mom’s closet, cow bag, beanie, and boots on repeat.

Pumpkin: Thrifted, painted, polka dotted.

Posing with your pumpkin to end your photo shoot- priceless.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed! XOXO

I have always loved thrifting.

I visited Goodwill today after months of no shopping and had a lucky day! If you thrift, you know how it works-the days you go in just browsing casually with not a lot of money are always your luckiest and most expensive days!

But even then, I only spent $52 and got some great brands- 2 Banana Republic items, Converse, Anne Klein, Mossimo from Target, a JC Penney brand, and some others.

One of my favorite things I got was this beach straw backpack purse, great for hiking, the beach, and going to the lake! Small enough to be convenient to tote around, yet enough room to fit your essentials. There is no tag- so the brand is a mystery!

Other favorite. This springy dotted little dress- it has a 50’s kind of style to me and it’s modest enough to wear to work, too. It is airy and flowy with almost bell-like sleeves but fits perfectly. I can’t wait to bring this out- you may see it in some future outfit of the days…

Stripey Banana Republic moto-style jacket:

Gotta have stripes for spring!

And flowers for spring, too. With some zippers on the side to level out the girly-ness. Frankie called this a granny sweater… I actually love granny sweaters. I just think it’s cozy and pretty, though.

I just went through my closet for spring and filled 3 bags to donate- the amount of vests I still had, even after the spring cleanup, was crazy. Yet I buy more….I just love them.

Forever 21 military button sherpa vest:

This one looks better on in person, but I love the studded detail on it, the pockets, and the airy feel.

Anne Klein studded cardigan:

Black Converse black short sleeve sweatshirt with cut out detail on the top.

Trying this on, I thought the sweatshirt material would make it a little more unflattering, but I was wrong!

Another Banana Republic item- I love Banana Republic, but can only afford it thrift store style : – )

Red cardigan with design down the front. The design reminds me of a link chain…

I hope you all enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by- XOXO
